Joel DeValter is an aboriginal artist living in Townsville proud to say that he is from the Kalkadoon tribe. Joel doesn’t paint traditional aboriginal art but has found his passion in painting abstract pet portraits. Joel has three dogs and two cats of his own but his passion for animals comes from his first abstract painting made for his partner of their first dog they had together, their deceased husky Kairi.
After hanging this artwork up in the main hallway friends and family that saw this art desperately wanted one too. Joel would diligently spend the next few months painting abstract pet portraits for his friends and family. The joy that would follow is what made Joel decide to start Treasure Tails so he can hopefully bring joy to every pet owner in Australia.
